I worked as a fisheries technician at North Carolina State University from September 2012 to July 2013 under the direction of Patrick Cooney and Dr. Tom Kwak. During this time we surgically implanted radio telemetry tags and PIT tags. We set up PIT tag arrays on the North Toe River on each end of the Delayed Harvest section to monitor the stocked trouts' movements. In addition, we tracked the trout via raft up and down the river using telemetry. I assisted with all aspects of the field research including surgeries to implant tags.
